Hi,

I want to be sure if the units I am using oin the inorganic particle module are OK when I set up the model in the configuration files.

density (kg/m^3)

diameter (m)

critical_shear (N/m^2)

resuspension_rate_k (g/m^2day^1) - in some works, even in the forum, I have read g/m^2s^1 (this is my main confusion)

resuspension_kt (g/m2)

Regards

Ricardo RB

Hi Ricardo, these are all correct.  resuspension_rate_k is g/m^2day^1

I was looking at a paper from Hipsey, Chung, and Imberger, "Modeling the propagation of turbid density inflows into a stratified lake: Daecheong Reservoir, Korea" and noticed that they list the resuspension rate k in g/(m^2 s).  Has this been a change going from ELCOM to AEM3D?  Also, I don't see them mention resuspension rate kt in this paper--can you suggest something reasonable to point me in the correct direction for this.  Thanks all!
