Running AEM3D in Aquatic Ecology mode

Question

I setup lake model with AEM3D and interested in running the model with Aquatic Ecology Configuration to do sediment digenesis and metals as detailed in Chapter 3 and 4 of the newer AEM3D_Use guide. I changed the icaedym flag to 1 in run_aem3d.dat and prepared input files that goes into caedym_files folder. Upon running aem3d, it abruptly crashes with  the following error:

Starting CAEDYM Configuration <WQ_configuration>

CheckNetCDFStatus: A netCDF access error has occurred.

netCDF status value = 2

InitCAEDYMSimIO_OK: unable to open the SimFile, CAEDYM.nc

Could not open CAEDYM.nc

I just found CAEDYM user manual with instructions on how to prepare CAEDYM.nc file. Hope this solves my problem

Resolved. Throwing the createCDsim file into the caedym_files folder and supplying the name of the configuration file and the name of simulation file as argument for createCDsim (createCDsim xxx.con CAEDYM.nc) did the job. Hope this helps others.
