Hi Chris,

My simulation just crashed with the following error:

04:46:41 ERROR: A subdirectory or file unffiles already exists.
04:46:41 ERROR: Assertion failed: pxp->bf_offset <= offset && offset < pxp->bf_offset + (off_t) pxp->bf_extent, file posixio.c, line 327

This is the first time I came up with such an error. At the same time, I got an error message from Java installer that cannot proceed and a fatal error occurred. What can be the reason?

Thank you for your help.

Cheers,
Behnam

Hi Behnam,

This error is usually due to the 2GB limit for NetCDF files under windows.  If something else has failed at the same time it may also be that you've run out of disk space.

Thanks Chris.

Then I guess the only way to bypass this 2GB limit is using restart files and then merge the NetCDF files, or using a interval for GlobalTime.

The other option is to put different variables into different files.
