Additional documentation for suspended sediment modeling - Hydronumerics Q&A

I was wondering if anyone had documentation available on suspended sediment modeling beyond what is in the AEM3D user guide.  I have learned a few things from the old CAEDYM documentation, but still have a few questions.  I am using the new water quality module.

For instance, I see a setting for 'key', which is set to 'clay', but I don't see an explanation regarding what this means or how this changes the sediment simulation.  Also, an explicit statements of names (not just the aem3d keys) and units for all of the parameters contained in the SUPSOL group file would be really helpful.  I will be performing some sensitivity analysis but first would like to look at some literature to determine appropriate values for ranges of parameters.

Thank you very much!

Hi Deena,

Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm travelling at the moment.

The key is just a name for the group, it has no effect on the dynamics of the sediment but just makes it easier for the user to name the group to something meaningful.

The other parameters mostly have a one to one correspondence with the old CAEDYM parameters.
